1. Acceptance of these terms

By using TravelTheWorld.hu (the "Service"), you agree to the following Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of the service

TravelTheWorld.hu is an interactive world map where visitors can mark visited countries and UNESCO World Heritage Sites, create and share a personal map, and browse a travel blog and country pages. The Service is free and does not require registration.

3. Access to your map

Your personal map is accessed and edited via a browser-bound manager link, or optionally by signing in with a Google account — see the relevant sections of the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for keeping your manager link and Google account confidential; anyone with access to either can manage your map.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service for any unlawful purpose, to infringe on the rights of others, or in a way that endangers the operation or security of the Service (e.g. automated bulk requests, attempting to circumvent rate limits).

5. Intellectual property

The website's design, source code, and original text content are the intellectual property of the operator. Some data sources are separately licensed — UNESCO World Heritage Site data comes from the UNESCO World Heritage Centre's public dataset, licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0.

6. Accuracy of content and limitation of liability

AI-generated content: some country pages and blog posts contain content generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence, provided for general guidance only. While we strive for accuracy, errors and inaccuracies may occur — the operator accepts no liability for any resulting loss.

Data loss: map data stored in the Service (visited countries, sites, map titles) may be lost due to technical failure, service outage, device change, or deletion of the browser identifier/account. The operator accepts no responsibility for data loss; you are responsible for backing up your own data.

The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

7. Availability and changes to the service

The operator reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any of its features) at any time, without prior notice.

8. Deleting your map/account

You may request deletion of your own map at any time (via the "Manage My Maps" page, or by email). The operator may also delete content or accounts used in violation of these terms, without prior notice.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Hungarian law. Any disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the Hungarian courts.
