About
TravelTheWorld.hu is a free interactive world map for travellers. Mark all the countries and territories you've visited, track UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and share your travel map with a unique link.
Registration isn't required, but it is possible — after accepting the privacy policy, your map is created and synced automatically even without signing in, and if you sign in with a Google account you can reach it from any device with a single click. Details in How does it work? below.
The country list includes every country and territory, each with its own detail page — capital, population, area, languages, currency and local UNESCO World Heritage Sites all in one place. The blog features regularly updated travel articles about countries, destinations and interesting facts.

🗺 How does it work?
When you mark your first country, a personal map is created automatically and the page URL updates to your unique map address. You can always come back to this link and continue editing.
Share link: the Share button gives you a read-only link (traveltheworld.hu/map/…) that anyone can open — they can view your map but cannot make changes.
Without an account, using a manager link: if you'd rather not sign in, the My Maps menu's 🔑 button copies a manager link. Send it to yourself by email and open it on another device to edit your map there too. The manager link contains your identity token, so keep it in a trusted place.
Creating an account / signing in: instead of a manager link, you can also sign in with a Google account — no separate registration needed, your account is created automatically on first sign-in, and this browser's maps are linked to it right away. From then on you can access and edit your maps on any device just by signing in, with no manager link to copy or email around.
Multiple maps, managing your maps: the Manage My Maps page lists all your saved maps, lets you create new ones, rename or delete them, switch the active map, and sign in/out of your Google account.
